Interesting. I've never noticed any this loose, but I HAVE taken a couple 
apart, which required machining away part of the steel housing which is crimped 
over on the yellow end (under the plastic, where you can't see it.)

I haven't done this yet, but I plan to clean up some of the dirty ones I have 
here and then store them soaking in kerosene or mineral spirits. Don't use 
gasoline; it will evaporate too quickly and it's dangerous to keep around.
