Since I will be primarily autocrossing my '71 Fasty, I was wondering if it is possible to put a quick-steer kit from a Type 1 onto a Type 3. I know that they use the same steering gearbox, but the T1 kit attaches to the Pitman arm. Are the Pitman arms the same on a T3 as they are on a Bug? If not, can I use the Bug arm on a T3 along with the quick-steer kit then? Is there a lot of bump steer introduced when you lower a T3 by turning the torsion arms on the splines in the front? Is there a way to remove or reduce the amount of bump steer present? Any help you can provide would be greatly apppreciated!
