The trick is getting all the wiring and switches as well as all the ducting, exhaust parts, fuel pump, everything. => I imagine that extra heat can't be bad ... Maybe not, but there's still nowhere to mount a BN4 in a Type 3. It exhausts straight down and back through a 2" pipe (yup, bigger than the engine tailpipe), and the heater itself is pretty big. The Type 4 heater (BN5?) mounts above the transaxle and mixes air into the stock heating system, which I think is the most advanced design. It might be adaptable to the Type 3, but I haven't yet seen it done.
