I need to post my electrical FAQ again.
6V is simply half the voltage, and twice the current.  The amount of power
is the same.
The reason nobody makes one is that nobody has any interest in using a
laptop or the like in their antique car, they just wouldnt sell that many.
Someday I may put one togeather, it would be easy, but I cant keep up with
winter projects as it is.
