My friend and I used to play around with a 65 IRS converted (banana arm mounts welded to a swing-axle rear subframe) squareback at Sears Point and Laguna Seca many moons ago. Sears Point was the funnest because it has a lot shorter straights, so it was more about braking and turns than outright speed. The guy's with the new Vipers gave us dirty looks all day as they drove past our pit. I made a point of passing everyone of them I came upon on the track. Good fun! They're probably still wondering what was powering it........lol. -Patrick D. ----- Original Message ----- > '71 Fastback Road Race/Auto-Xer project car (because > nobody else is doin it!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
