I think the $1200 offer sounds fair. Yes, you MIGHT be able to make more by 
cutting it up, but you would spend hours/days/months at the task, and in the 
end we end up losing one more good type 3.

For those who need parts, I suspect that most of them are out there. If your 
car is so shot that it needs pan parts then you'd probably be doing yourself 
and everyone else a favor by buying a good "starter kit" like this and turning 
your old car into the parts car.
