The motor is actually cooled by gas flowing through it. IIRC, you can see
a small port that allows gas into and out of the motor if you have the
pump completely apart.
Liquid gas is not flammable. Only gas vapors, mixed with oxygen is.
Where the electric lines come out of the motor, was originally seal with
an expoxy.
