Extra large oil pumps are a waste of HP and are totally unnecessary. The late OE 26mm oil pump is as big as you should ever need, and the standard HD 25mm pump is virtually as good. The QUALITY of the pump is much more important than the size. Well made pumps will put out all the oil you will ever need, and poorly made oversized pumps will dissapoint you with poor lifetime and poor warm weather performance. If you do the plumbing carefully, there is no need to make ANY modifications to the fan housing. Use several street elbows and you can work it out. I have some photos that show the routing. If you want to run something like this in cold weather, spend a few extra bucks and buy the pressure relief full flow pump cover from Berg. This will prevent the filter blowout problems right at the source. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
