Unfortunately at the time we were originally doing the car, we were a little short on funds, so we were using a lot of donated US steel that came out of a dumpster from a friends place of work. : ) It helped both of us learn how to work with the thicker sheet metal, as it came in handy when doing the floors. I think they are thicker than any normal type3, even without the recessed stampings. : ) Building the air box intakes was the hard part of the job though, as they needed to be in the right places to get air to cool the engine.
