So.....for grins I put Sophy up on the Livernois Motorsports dyno and
had them do a couple of pulls. Results were about what I was
expecting.

Peak HP 46.3 HP	at 3900 RPM at the Rear wheels
Max Torque	69.8 ft-lbs at 3300 rpm

One of my manuals shows HP and torque curves. The HP curve peaks at 54 bhp at
4000 rpm, and the torque peaks at 86 ft-lb at 3300 rpm. This is for a bare
engine on an engine dyno.

I can't help wondering how much loss we should expect in the drive train.

The number I kept hearing at the car show was 20%. Rule of thumb was a 20% loss from the flywheel to the road with a manual transmission. Don't know about an automatic. I will ask a few of my powertrain buddy's at Ford this question tomorrow. 20% seems consistent with numbers I got for Sophy.
