Lube the rubber outer lips with soapy water and install a soapy cord in the groove all around where the body pinchweld will go. The cord crosses over at the bottom Get a friend to help. Sit the bottom groove of the gasket on the pinchweld, and have your friend hold the glass against the door while you carefully pull one end and then the other of the cord slowly out of the groove from the inside of the car. As the cord comes out it lifts the inner gasket lip and brings it inside the car. The outside person needs to put just enough pressure on the glass that the lip doesn't slip back in. Proceed slowly until the cord is all out and the lip is all in. You may need to push in on the glass to get it to slip into final position. Windows other than windshields are hard to break. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
