I have a manual transmission. I was just thinking I hope I saved the box! I know some on the list will hate me for this but I did get new BLUE coil and I used my stock distributor. You don't use an ignition box. Just replace the points and adjust the gap. That is what I liked about it. I got mine from http://vwparts.net/. You could call them to get the part number If I can't find it. I work really close to them.
