What would have happened if I had ever needed to use the spare tire! I changed to radials shortly after I bought the car in 1978, and kept the bias ply tire cause I was cheap, and didn't think about it, and it was the spare. I never had a flat in all those years, through at least 5 sets of tires I can remember. Even now the very bald, cords showing, sun beat, tires hold air. It is on a T3 rim though.
