For most applications, I think that a MIG is fine. I would highly advise
buying a 220v MIG if you even think about welding anything thicker than
3/16", especially 1/4". If you've had a MIG before, then you probably
understand what I'm talking about. I use a Lincoln and have access to a nice
Hobart. Both work well. Stay away from any non name brands.
Hey, I noticed in the Northern Tools catalog that I received, they are
