RE: [T3] cylinder 3 noise

Haha, sorry about that one, it's just been one of those days.  I just recently 
completed a valve adjustment, definitely not a valve job.  I guess from you're 
saying this could be serious - require some major work - so I'm definitely 
going to check this one out.  I'm pretty sure I checked cylinder #3 at TDC and 
didn't have to make any adjustments (still at .006 when I checked) but I'll 
double check that, I really don't want to do a rebuilt right now.

YOu did a valve job, or valve adjustment?? It's a big difference.
Did you have the cylinder heads off the car???
If you just did a valve adjustment, are you sure you adjusted the valves
on #3 while you were on TDC #3?
If the noise sounds like it is coming from inside the engine, I would
suspect a problem with the piston or the connecting rod bearings.
