[T3] rotor play

i was checking my mechanical advance [which takes about one half second to return to the 
non advanced state] and notice that i can wiggle the rotor about a quarter inch 
[rotational play, not axial]. stupid question time> is this normal? I realize that when 
engaged and running the play will be taken up, but it does seem a bit extreme.
