They ask for some weeks to do the research. I doubt they would do it as you wait, but it's worth asking. I suppose you could order a batch there and pay cash in Euros, but credit cards work from a distance (if they are not misused). The Stiftung Automuseum (the one in Dieselstrasse) has some parts, but when I wanted a coupling for my Beetle shifter, they came up with one no better than mine! That may have changed with time. In Stuttgart, don't miss out the Mercedes Museum. It's very well set out in an inspiring building with an excellent time-line of vehicles and a nicely-stocked museum with well-chosen items. At least I thought so 5 years ago when we went. By contrast the Porsche museum is more of a long shed with two lines of very nice but rather tightly parked vehicles (it was 5 years ago, anyway.). You'll like them both I'm sure. In Wolfsburg the Autostadt complex is as must - we used 2 days in there very happily a couple of years ago; the 2-day pass wasn't much more than the 1-day. Check out the Skoda pavillion - sounds silly, but I found it fascinating, with some lovely works of art - humorous bronze dioramas and lovely glass. The washrooms are a must, with blue glass bowls etc! Also walk over the Stadtbrug (bridge over canal and railway) and up the main street (Porschestrasse). Keep going until you get to the bronze wolves (of Wolfsburg). Come back about half a block and go left (towards Hanover) and there's a large grass area in front of a large white administration building. Check out the granite split-back window sculpture. Enjoy the visit. Dave. Someone also suggested I ask around about their parts surplus if they have such a thing.
