I think that the artist has used a bit of artitic licence in that nice cutaway and sort of flattened everything out so you could see it disected. The tube for the vacuum hose to the dizzy is actually on the same side as the volume adjust screw and the choke pull-off vacuum comes from a larger cutout in the underside of the throttle base that you can see in http://www.mo-sys.com/throttlebody/throttle_open_.6mm_from_underneath.jpg to the right, but same side of the throttle pivot as all the other ports/drillings. At least on my bases! This also depicts the earlier style ones with the brass volume screw with a spring whereas the ones I'm using have steel screws with a sealing o-ring. I have earlier bases too but they all have a similar arrangement to the ones I'm using- none has the vac drilling above the butterfly except when it is tight closed- which it never is. Nice find tho ;-) Mark ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
