[T3] More questions
<x-flowed>Thanks for the info about the static timing; turned out I had in fact
been setting it wrong. I have it timed and everything, and checked the
valves (which all came up good), and replaced my belt.
Problem. The engine runs smoothly, idles properly at the correct RPM
(I'm setting it to nine hundred, as per the owner's book), and in
general seems to think it's a happy little beast once more, but it is
-noisy!-
I could handle a little noise, and I know that my muffler needs
replacing, as it has holes in it, but could that be the root of all the
noise? The most bothersome one for me is a loud, pulsing sound that
almost sounds like a sharp 'clack' sound, coming from the right side of
the engine compartment as I look at it. Well, at least, it's louder in
my right ear than my left when I stand at the centerline.
I'm at a loss as to what this is. Any thoughts? Is it something I should
really worry over, or just something I can chalk up to muffler damage?
I'm paranoid, so the car is not being driven at the moment.
Thanks again!
