The note is from years ago, back when we first oiled the car. Just a note: "wrong transmission mount. Keep an eye on it."

So much for the eye I kept on it.

Anyway, my mechanic felt pretty much the same way when I mentioned it to him. He said it wasn't the right one, but it seemed to be fine.

BUT now that I'm thinking about it, could it be that I have the right mount but the wrong transmission? Is there a diff bet the 72 and 73? Maybe I have a 73 transmission?

What I'd like is to have free time that coincides with dry weather so I could give this my full attention...guess I have some research to do.

I'll let you know what I find.
