Lighter fluid will evaporate. You should be able to get some diesel fuel/kerosene. You need something that is actually leave its paraphene <sp> (hooked on phonics);=) behind to protect the bare metal surfaces. AS for the battery charger, do you have a 12V battery laying around to put in the circuit. You could even do it off the battery in your car. It won't drain the battery unless you run it for a long time. BTW, don't try to measure the pressure off the pump nuless you have a regulator in the the plumbing. Our pumps will do almost at least 100 psi if dead headed. I ruined one of my pressure gages doing this. -- Russ Wolfe '66 FB MT '71 FB AT '65 Bug (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
