Start of production with chassis# 0 006 827 

I pulled that info from the VW dealer book "Progressive Refinements," which 
is usually correct. 

I have never seen a Squareback anywhere near VIN # 0 006 827. 

I haven't really been keeping track but I would say 99.9% of the people out 
with a "1962 Squareback" have a '63.  They don't even have a '63 that was 
built in '62. 

I'd be interested to know the VIN # on your '62. 

There have been two '63 Squares on eBay UK recently, both were '64s built in 
'63.
