Hi all, I'm having a bit of a problem with my Fastback (71 FI MT). I was driving to work last week, and about halfway there, lost a lot of power. I can barely get to 50 MPH and stay there. I don't think cylinder #1 or 2 are doing anything. I can pull the connectors off both injectors and my idle does not change. Same for the spark plug wires. Of course, if I pull anything off #3 or #4, it dies, because then its only running on one cylinder. I did a full tune up a few weeks ago- valves (.004 intake, .006 exhaust), points, timing. I put on a new Bosch cap, rotor, and points. Tonight, I pulled the valve cover off, to be sure the valves were opening and closing- they are. I did a compression test on #1, and got 100 lbs. I changed the spark plug in #1, so see if it would have any effect, but it didn't. I put the old plug on the wire and cranked the engine over to be sure it was getting spark, and it is. I have also put my timing light on all the plug wires, and they all seem to be getting spark. I put in my spare distributor, and changed back to the old cap and rotor, and still no change. After I run the car for a few minutes, I can put my hand over the driver's side heater vent and almost burn my hand. On the passenger side, the air is the same temperature as the surrounding air, not even a hint of warmth. I'm at a loss- this is the first thing I've come up against that I haven't been able to figure out or fix. What else should I check? My cold start injector has been disconnected, and I put a gauge on the CSI hose to verify I'm getting fuel pressure there, and I get 30 lbs./in^2. If I turn the ignition on, and open the throttle (from the engine bay), I can hear the injectors click on the 1/2 side, and I can put my hand on them and feel them engage. So I have fuel, spark, and compression. I suppose it's possible that both my injectors clogged at the same time and aren't working- but I don't think it's probable. Any advice?
