If it is, it looks like everything's ok here. http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic1.jpg > If that connection looks normal you should pull the > brain out and remove it > from the FI harness. However, I was wondering if this is a possibility. I'm a bit confused by the electrical diagram in the bentley for the FI relay under the back seat. Is it basically the same relay as under the dash? If it is, there is a red cable going from the middle connector straight to the battery. As I was going through the wiring harness today replacing wires that had been taped together to fix them (a wire going to my starter came apart in my hands -- someone had just loosely wound them together, then taped over it), I found this: http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic6.jpg http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic7.jpg http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic8.jpg I hardly think that wire is capable of carrying any load whatsoever. I didn't have a chance to fix it yet, but I think I need to do something about my positive battery terminal anyway: http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic2.jpg http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic3.jpg http://www.tiserves.com/Files/vw/pic4.jpg So maybe I'll do that before I solder on a new ring and try the fuel pump testing again. ===== __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
