Since '68 that's E for injection (entspritzung?), T for touring (Fastback) and L for luxury trim. A is for basic trim. So TLE means a Fastback with higher spec trim and injection, while LE would be on a Variant (Squareback) with higher spec trim and injection. TA is a (usually twin-) carbed Fastback with basic trim, and A is the Variant version. Dave.
