I was starting my first ever VW "Edith", a 69 FB last evening and the gas
pedal pad and the actual pedal separated.

It looks like its on a roller type assembly and the metal broke?  

I'm still learning about the car and repairs so be easy.  Any suggestions.
I can post some pics tomorrow if needed.

Anybody on the list from St Pete / Tampa area?  I'm trying to get so I can
drive it to the Zephyrhills Bug Jam in the Fall.
