Hello fellow listees, it's Jim the list lurker here... I need some advice. The vacuum advance (with 2 vacuum ports) on my '72 dizzy is bad. I'm having a hell of a time finding a good used one, and the money tree in the back yard has died - thus preventing me from spending $190 + for a new bosch replacement. How do I work around this dillema? Anybody out there have one of these bad boys sitting in a box on a shelf in the garage? :-) How will this broken advance affect the driveability of my vehicle (I ask this because I've never driven this car...bought it and went straight to work fixing and cleaning)? TIA for any and all suggestions.
