I used to work on a 914 for someone here. They replaced, I think, 3 
swayaway 914 bars in a row. Each one lasted about a year. I 
wasn't impressed. IIRC, the swayaway bars are not prestressed, 
which means that L & R are the same. This makes it easier to 
make and stock them, but my experience with their durability was 
just very poor. When we took out the broken bars we also found 
that their paint had splintered off of the bar where it twisted.

I don't have my microfilm here, so I can't answer the question about 
size now.
