Howdy All. I haven't posted in quite a while, but I've been following the threads. The good news is my square is ALIVE!! I finally spent 10 minutes installing a new condenser and points that I've had for MONTHS and I was able to coax it into starting for the first time. This is on a cheap unknown donor engine that I couldn't even check the compression on because the plugs are welded into the heads (the parts car looked like it came from the bottom of a lake!!) It seems to run fine, although the muffler is mostly made of rust and rats nests, so it was hard to tell over the din. I was worried about the fuel injection, but all cylinders appear to be firing. I'm ready to drive it now that it will be cooling down here in Texas pretty soon. All I need is a muffler, complete brake system rebuild, tires, shocks, go through the wiring and straighten out the lights, and and and and..........Hmmmmm, maybe it's not as near the first trip around the block as I would like, but the important thing, the thing that further money and time spent hinged on, is that it runs! Thanks for all the good advice and knowledge that always flows through this forum, it's helped me a lot. Maybe I'll get out and see some of you Austin area T3ers soon. Anyone that wants to come kick tires is always welcome, drop me a line. Wish me (and Project CheapSquare) luck! Terry Cost Austin TX 1970 Square F.I.
