I picked up two thermostats at a local pick-your-part this weekend out of Type 1's but they are different. One is shorter and has 10 expandable sections and has markings of 65/70¡ and 11/7 on one end. The taller one has 15 expandable sections with only the 65/70¡ marking. 1) Can either be used in my Type 3 which currently does not have any thermostat? I am gathering parts to install later. 2) How can I test these? 3) I need the bracket and linkage for a Type 3. Any leads would be appreciated.
