RE: [T3] seeking vw mechanic

I don't know if Jerry @ North West Connecting Rods does general VW work, but
he's widely respected for his machine work and rebuilding. I have had great
experience with him. He's located down by Boeing Field.

Subject: [T3] seeking vw mechanic

to any list subscribers in seattle:

i recently moved to seattle and am looking for referrals for a decent,
trustworthy and hopefully inexpensive mechanic for my '71 squareback.
anyone have some good references? i live in west seattle, so preferrably
someone close, but anywhere in the seattle area would be fine.

i am pretty good at general mechanics myself, but i stink at diagnostics, so
i'd like to find a mechanic who would be open to performing diagnostic
services, then helping me decide if i can do the work myself or if i should
hand it over to the professionals.

regardless, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!
jason
