Is a battery any heavier than a spare tire, or did you manage to fit both in there? BTW, I got the rear subframe out of the '72 I'm parting out, and I'm pleased to report that all the rubber bushings were in beautiful shape. Of course I saved them, but it sure looks like it would be hard to replace them in a working car. You'd want to, at the very least, remove the engine and tranny first. It appears that some of the bushings would be better supported if the outermost washer in the stack were a bit bigger in diameter. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
