I believe anything you can buy new will be the wider bug offset.  If 
that's the case, you should just visit a junkyard and get a set of Super 
Beetle wheels, I believe by the mid-70's they were 5" wide.  Some of 
them had interesting spoke patterns.  I passed on a set my neighbor put 
on her free pile after a yardsale.  It's been over 10 years since I 
moved out west, any junkyards on the east coast still have super beetles 
laying around?
