Hi Keith, Russ, et al, The guy who wrote the T4 Upright Conversion Manual,(How to fit a T4 engine into a T1 with an upright fan shroud AND thermostat set up), Joe Cali, is a friend of mine. He runs a 2.0L stock T4 (out of a 914), in his '74 Bug. I'll ask him what he did to make the crank/pilot bearing/flywheel fit and work together. I'll post his answer to the list.
