I'm sorry you are correct -- it was a 69. I get mixed up since I also have a 1968 bug. Thank you for the offer on the rebuild. I may take you up on it if my husband feels that it is too much for him to handle. He is good at the small things and although he had good intentions with regard to handling the larger scale repairs, he usually ends up getting frustrated. That is what happened with the AT/FI 69.
