First place to look for parts is here. A lot of people on the list kind
of horde T-3 parts when they find them. And I find a lot of stuff on
Ebay. Most of the engine parts are the same as T-1, except for engine
tin. Points are the same, plugs, etc. Thesamba.com is another place to
look.

Why do you want to chenge the automatic?  It is one of the strongest
automatic transmissions for its time. The design is still being used
today in some of the water cooled VW's. 
The clutch cable tube in the tunnel is missing on automatic T-3's if it
is the original floor pan.
