I'm going to go through my scrounge box (boxes really) and see if there is something I can make a small secure spindle to wrap the cable around. A side benefit of this is that if it breaks near the throttle valve switch I will be able to unwrap it for an emergency repair. It looks like ther is enough room to do it over the crank case.
