(This is the second time I'm sending this, because I sent it several hours ago and it hasn't reached the list yet. Apologies if you get it twice) > If any > of the CV joint boots are torn you should disassemble and clean the CV joint, > and then put it all back together with good moly grease and a new boot. Hi all, This job has now crawled its way up to No. 1 on my list of priorities. I have at least one boot that needs replacing, and I suppose I should probably open them all up and have a good look inside to see what condition they're in, replace them if necessary, and repack them with grease. The only thing that's stopping me from doing it right now is that I don't know whether I will need a puller of some kind to get the CVs off the driveshafts. I have all the other tools and parts (circlip pliers, proper grease, 12-spline 8mm socket, new boots etc.). Should I go buy a puller before I start, and if so, what kind?
