<x-flowed>The 4-way flashers don't work at all, they weren't working when I bought the 
car.  But I'll check the wiring to the hazard signal switch and see if 
anything is crossed there.

Sorry, not a clue. Do the 4-way flashers work with the key both ON and OFF?
