Cover that seals the inner body panel? You mean the
cover plate that attaches to the FI brain? I didn't
see any spring clips on it, but I will look again. I
think it was one piece of metal with the rubber seal
that goes all the way around. Were the clips separate
from the plate and can possibly be removed?

I'm sure that's what's happening. I'll have to take
another look as soon as it dries up outside. Snow
flurries predicted for  Friday. Wonder if that means
salt? Guess I better get Wilson set for a long
winter's nap and fix this ASAP. :)
