Re: [T3] Is this considered a Type 3?

<x-flowed>
I believe that VW do Brasil was/is relatively independent... I seem to recall reading that Brazil had/has laws requiring companies who wanted to sell cars there to actually set up factories domestically and bring jobs to the country. (Don't quote me on that.)

As far as the U.S. is concerned, I don't think that VW do Brasil exported any model to the U.S. except for the Fox (Gol).

Daniel, we might twist your question around and ask "If VW (Wolfsburg) were so proud of the T34, why didn't they sell it in the U.S.?" :) VW is in the profit business, not the pride business. ;) Remember also that VWoA required dealers to stock a wide range of replacement parts for each and every model sold. Stocking every U.S. dealership with SP2 window glass, body parts, interior bits, electricals, etc. etc. would likely have been cost prohibitive for a low sales volume car.

	Also, remember that the SP2 was sold in Nigeria...!

	Oh, look, I found this...

	http://www.vwsp2.com.br/en/

It indicates a total production run of about 10,000, with some 670 exported to Europe.
