In normal sensible driving you may never get a problem, but in violent manoeuvres radials can unseal from the non-safety bead seating for a moment and dump a lot of air quickly. That's why it's safer to fit radials with tubes on 'non-safety hump' rims. Mind you, so far I've never needed a seat belt since I started wearing them back in the early sixties, but I still belt up every trip. Dave.
