I paid just under $1000 for the car, which was probably a bit more than it
was worth, although it does have a certain rarity value. As for what I've
spent on it since, I've deliberately avoided keeping count - I just don't
want to know.

Apropos pics and stuff, go to http://www.type34.info/temp/Treffen for a
directory of pictures taken when Herman Haustein, another Type 34 owner who
is or was a member of this list, came to visit. Two of the files are videos
of Herman taking my car for a spin, conclusively proving that the car does
actually move!
