<x-flowed>just as a heads-up, i finally received an answer back from their 
licensing people. the reply was simply that they cannot grant a license 
because the site does not need a license. the only terms i use are "VW" 
and "Volkswagen" but no other trademarked name, such as "new beetle", 
"jetta", etc.

the response also says that if i modify my application and re-submit it 
(i assume they mean modify the application to state that i don't really 
need a license) they might be able to approve it so i can say "licensed 
by VW".
