Having a FI '72 and a twin-carb '71, both with a dual vacuum distributor, and
being timed differently, it was a while before I stumbled onto the correct
firing point for them (different crank marks!).  For a while I had the wrong
paint marks (my own) on the FI car, so don't believe someone's paint marks, no
matter how reliable you would expect them to be.  ;-)
