The firing order is 1-4-3-2.

Opposite (180 deg) from TDC #1 would be TDC #3.

If it's pointing to #4 then this had better be TDC #4.

I had to think about this for a bit, but, yes, TDC #1 (compression)  would be 
the same as TDC #3 (exhaust) and vice versa.
