Not sure of the mm size, but 13/16" works really well. Sears has a ratcheting 
box end wrench that works really well here.

I HATE this method. It rather quickly mangles the pulley housing sheet metal 
around the hole. I think of it as the kind of thing that a thoughtless mechanic 
would do to someone else's car, but never to his own.
