Wonder why I didn't get > those? I have a July 71 auto with the 71 calipers (one > bleeder). I must have missed it by less than a month? These were also July cars. Yours must have just been slightly earlier. I always thought most of the month got this, but VW really just gives a VIN for the changeover. I can look up that VIN tonight if you're interested. Dave Hall's site has info on how to read the build date of your car, so that might provide some insight. By August they were making the first of the 72s. I ASSUME they shut down for some short time to make changes, but I suppose they might have kept things running. That would have been more difficult in some years, less difficult in others. Anybody know when this might have happened and for how long? -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
