My car has taken to magicing away my tools. I lost my favourite red stanley screwdriver 2 weekends ago- it just vanished! It was the one I used for hub-cap removal, rear brake adjustment and general podgering and drifting. Last weekend my second favourite screwdriver- one of the ones with a removeable shaft with double ended bits in each end, lost its flat bit end. It was the one I used to adjust my carbs- it was short enough but long enough to grip. I heard it fall from the side into the engine bay, rattle about a bit and then settle. I spent nearly 1/2 an hour searching everywhere it could have gone but it too has vanished. I'm tempted to think that I must now have my carbs set up perfectly and my car is telling me to stop fiddling. She seems to gradually be running better and better so I think I should listen this time. Mark Seaton '73 Fasty London > > I seem to have some toolbox gremlins living near me.
