Chao! Emilio, sorry that's the only Italian I know...oh and Fratello, my
brother lived in Catania for a few years :-)

Anyway, about your speedo, this seems to happen to most of the odometers.
There is a little pot-metal gear that slips on its metal shaft and the
odometer no longer transfers power to the little gears that move the
numbers.  I have tried to fix mine by trying to secure this little gear to
the shaft, but it started to slip again.

Jim A. on this list fixes them but since you are in Italy that's probably
not an option.  Perhaps someone else will chime in with a fix. I can also
send you a *.pdf file that documents one persons method of fixing the VDO
odometer, in it he describes the process using a Porsche VDO guage but the
internals are the same.  Email me directly if you want the file.
